1. What is a DPF and why is it important?

The Diesel Particulate Filter captures soot particles from diesel exhaust. Without it, cities would look like a badly managed barbecue — so it’s a key part of keeping emissions under control.

2. Why does a DPF get blocked?

Common reasons: lots of short trips on a cold engine, faulty injectors or turbo (excess soot), poor-quality oilcity driving with low exhaust temperatures, sensor, EGR or AdBlue system faults...
In most cases, the DPF is the victim, not the cause.

3. What are the signs of a blocked DPF?

Reduced engine power increased fuel consumption, regeneration not completing, DPF / engine warning light, limp mode, visible smoke, rising oil level (very dangerous!)

4. How does DPF regeneration work?

There are three types:

Passive – happens naturally on longer drives

Active – the ECU creates extra heat

Forced – triggered via diagnostic toolsIf regeneration fails consistently → cleaning is required.

5. Is DPF replacement worth it?

A new OEM DPF can cost £900–£3000.Cleaning costs a fraction of that and is just as effective if the filter is not physically damaged. Replacement is only recommended if it is: cracked, melted, pressure-washed to death (R.I.P.)

6. How does mobile DPF cleaning work?

No towing, no garage visits. Just this: AI-assisted live diagnostics to find the real fault. Sensor testing – pressure, vacuum, temperature, electrical,

On-site DPF cleaning – fast, efficient, no removal, Post-clean diagnostic report with before/after data, 30–60 day warranty

7. How long does the cleaning take?

Usually 60–120 minutes depending on condition and vehicle type.

8. How can I prevent future DPF issues?

Use correct low-SAPs oil (C3/C4), take longer drives occasionally, let the engine warm up properly, avoid running low on AdBlue, don't ignore warning lights

9. What is AdBlue and what does the SCR system do?

AdBlue reduces NOx emissions via the SCR catalyst. If the system fails, the car may start a countdown and eventually prevent starting. I offer full AdBlue/SCR diagnostics.

10. What other faults can cause DPF problems?

Very common culprits: stuck EGR valve, faulty differential pressure sensor, incorrect MAF/MAP data, boost leak or turbo issues, injector over-fueling, NOx sensor faults...
Many times, the DPF is the messenger, not the problem.

11. Can I keep driving with a DPF warning light on?

You can… but you shouldn’t. High exhaust backpressure can cause: turbo damagemelted,  DPF oil dilution severe engine wear. The sooner it’s fixed, the cheaper it is.

12. What if someone already used a “miracle cleaner” in my DPF?

Then I will probably be the one to sort it out afterwards. Most additives simply mask the symptoms — they don’t solve the problem. I provide real diagnostics and real cleaning, not magic potions.

13. What types of vehicles do you service?

Passenger cars

SUVs vans (Transit, Vivaro, Transporter, etc.)

taxi/Uber vehicles

fleet vehicles
BUS, Lorry (Volvo, MAN, Mercedes, Renault, DAF)

14. What areas do you cover?

London and the South-East region.West as far as Southampton, east all the way to the coast.

15. What warranty do you offer?

Every cleaning comes with a 30–60 day warranty, depending on vehicle condition and diagnostic results.

16. Why can’t I negotiate the price?

Because the entire universe already negotiated against both of us. Software licences don’t haggle. Fuel prices don’t lower themselves out of kindness. Road tax definitely never says: “Andras, mate, go fix that Mercedes for half price today!” Add to that: professional diagnostic equipment high-quality chemicals, time, experience and precision and the level of care that actually fixes the root cause→ and the price is exactly what’s needed for top-quality work.

If you still want a discount, I can offer a smile — absolutely free.
